This style of clothing is set to have be influenced by trading with Arabian traders through. The Yoruba clothes were made with Arabian design principles in terms of their shapes and then embellished with traditional motifs. A common style worn by hunter and farmers is the Kukomo. It has a slit by the neck and arm holes by the site. Made with woven cotton or silk for man with higher societal status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/twentysix.co\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/image.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\n<figcaption>A form Buba style known as <em>Kukomo<\/em> . Worn typically by hunters<\/figcaption>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n<p>The Buba is pared with a Kembe or agbenugbangba (loosely translated as <em>Big Mouth<\/em>) . It is a wide Leg trouser reaching the ankle with aa drawstring to hold at the waist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/twentysix.co\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/download-1024x486.png\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>&#8221;<em>This three-piece man\u2019s formal attire consists of a large robe that is embroidered in traditional Islamic patterns, a pair of drawstring trousers, and a hat. The costly fabric and the elaborate embroidery are almost always special ordered by the wearer from skilled tailors who specialize in the production of these garments. The purplish-red color of this outfit is considered extremely valuable by the Yoruba.<\/em>&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/collection.imamuseum.org\/artwork\/78507\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Indianapolis Museum of Arts, 2021<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p> The silhouette of a modern take on the Buba and Kembe has remained largely unchanged through the years but only in the material they are made in.
